How our underground tank barrier works
Trees and shrubs suck up large amounts of water from the soil. When the soil becomes dry, equalising pressure is created which causes moisture to move to nearby dryer soil (a process known as matric suction). Soil movement can cause underground tanks to shift resulting in cracks and disconnections which are expensive to fix.
By encapsulating the underground tanks with our barrier you can control the moisture of the surrounding soil and prevent root ingress and prevent it moving.
